Making Beauty Count

I’ve had enough! The clutter of half-used products, all claiming one kind of magic or another, none quite good enough on the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep cosmetics database.

But, truthfully, I’m lazy. I’m not a beauty products person. I used to only use facial cleansing wipes. I hate washing my face…the water splashing, the clean-up…ugh! So, yeah, facial cleansing wipes. Maybe lotion. Always clogged pores. I just haven’t had time to care. So I accumulated piles of crap.

But I’m getting older. I’m working hard to focus more on self-care. And then I found Beautycounter, a nontoxic beauty product company, and decided to give it a go. Not only am I am able to ditch my nasty wipes and random toxic products, but with each purchase I’m able to donate all net proceeds to MaxLove Project. It’s a win-win for me, and my cause.

I’m loving the products. They’re simple, safe, and my skin feels great. The Beautycounter Nourishing Cleansing Balm, for instance, has replaced my wipes with a reusable cloth and deep skin nourishment. I’m relieved. I’m excited about this! I’m finally simplifying.
